An ounce of prevention is worth a pound oaf cure. That’s why Downers Grove is certified by Vohra Wound Physicians as a Center of Excellence for Wound Management. Our certified wound care nurse and our clinical team have undergone specialized training to prevent and treat all types of chronic and complex wound and skin issues, reducing the need to send our patients out to wound care centers or hospitals.

Committed to Stopping COVID-19
In the early days of the pandemic, Downers Grove Rehab & Nursing chose to serve our community by opening a COVID Recovery Unit, where low-acuity, COVID-19 positive, older adult patients could continue to recover and receive rehabilitation before returning home. To date, this unit
has served over 400 patients from 4 different states. And we’re still continuing the fight, with COVID-19 vaccination rates for both patients and staff above the national averages.
